Meet our dedicated staff that is here to meet your every need!

Rod started working at Kennebec Telephone Co., Inc. in 1976 as a part-time employee. He bought the company from Delores Johnstone in 1998. Through his years of service the company has expanded with its different divisions: Kennebec CATV (2001), KTC Construction (2001), PowerCom Electric (2002), Charley’s Welding and Auto Repair (2009), Technology and Communications Specialists (TCS) (2010), Chamberlain NAPA (2013), and PowerCom Electric in Chamberlain (2018).

Matt has been with KTCI since 1988. He started as part-time working through high school and then started full-time with the construction division, eventually becoming Plant Manager and now Assistant Manager.

Chris graduated from USD with a degree in Business. He began employment with KTCI in 2008 as office & administrative support specialist and in 2013 became Office Manager.

In 1996, Trusty acquired his degree in Telecommunications from Mitchell Technical Institute. He worked at two other Telecom companies before returning to Kennebec
and joining KTCI in June 2004.

In 2013, Veronica came to work for Kennebec Telephone. Veronica has worked at KTCI as a NAPA Specialist, Purchasing Coordinator, an Administrative Assistant, and now using her knowledge from all the areas she has worked, makes her an excellent Marketing Director.

Crystal has worked at various occupations using her creativity. In 2007 she joined the KTCI team as a CSR and incorporated her creativity helping out & later achieving the
title as marketing assistant.

Christie is a graduate of Lyman High School. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Financial Services at Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls. Christie’s hobbies are attending her kids sporting events, spending time with family and hiking in the Black Hills or Badlands.

Administrative Assistant/CSR

Tiarra worked part-time at KTCI starting in June 2003 and in 2013 took on full time role as CSR.

Joan grew up in the business atmosphere and worked several years in a family business before she began at KTCI in
April 1998. 




Purchasing Coordinator

Ike became a full-time KTCI Construction worker in November 2003. He made his transition and became inventory assistant, now he holds the title of Purchasing Co. Coordinator.

Jordan, a Lyman High School student, started part-time in May 2020.

Haley works full-time as a customer account representative. She will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in  Accounting  from Black Hills State University.

Lesa Patrick is a new employee and started her position as executive assistant in July 2021. For the past 25 years, she has been employed by the Coffee Cup in Vivian as the manager. Bob and Lesa have two children, Lindy and Logan. Activities that Lesa enjoys are spoiling Grandson Jack, spend time with her two puppies and reading.
