Kennebec Telephone Company has been in operation since 1908.  The company is presently owned by the Rod and Donna Bowar family.  Kennebec Telephone serves the two communities of Presho and Kennebec located in south central South Dakota.  The company has 31 employees, over 775 access lines,  provides Long Distance service, High Speed Internet (DataNet), Escavating, Electrical work, Cable TV, Local Telephone Service and Computer Repair. 

The business office is located on main street in Kennebec, South Dakota.
